As an acid reflux sufferer, I have figured out that managing my diet is key in managing my digestive health. It turns out that the best way to combat my acid flair ups and digestive issues lies in eating the right plant-based foods regularly. I eat plenty of fruits and vegetables to keep my digestive system healthy. Of course, most adults have occasional discomfort. When stress or a run of less than ideal meals causes your stomach to turn on you, Acidil can offer plant-based relief. I recently had the pleasure of teaming up with Moms Meet and Boion to check out Acidil and let you know my experience.

What is Acidil?
Acidil is a homeopathic meltaway from Boiron, a company that specializes in homeopathic medicines created in sustainable ways. Acidil is made of plant based ingredients: Abies nigra 4C HPUS, Carbo vegetabilis 4C HPUS, Nux vomica 4C HPUS, and Robinia pseudoacacia.
The small meltaway tablets are easy to take – they’re pretty flavorless and dissolve in your mouth without water or the chalky texture of a chewable medicine. You can take them when tummy troubles hit or in preparation when you eat a food that you are sensitive to.
What does Acidil help with?
Boiron Acidil may help with acid symptoms including:
- Indigestion
- Heartburn

My Journey with Acid Reflux
As a teenager, I struggled with pretty severe acid reflux. I battled stomach pain, acid buildup, hiccups, stress-induced ulcers, you name it. I took over-the-counter antacids daily. It seemed like I was just cursed with a bad digestive system. That is true to some extent, but I also find that my acid symptoms are greatly affected by my diet.
Fighting digestive issues with food
As I outgrew my college eating habits (aka replacing dino nuggets and tater tots with fruits, vegetables, and homemade food.), I realized the importance that a good diet has on your gut health and overall physical wellness. In my experience, the more plant-based foods that I eat, the better I feel. As a result, I am much more careful about what my family and I eat. Furthermore, avoiding unnecessary medications helped my body to balance on its own. As a mom, I try to prioritize plants over processed foods and medicines for our family. If there is a “natural” remedy for something, I try going that route first before resorting to a regular medicine.
Fighting occasional discomfort with homeopathic remedies
Even with a well managed diet, discomfort happens. Around the holidays, we all want a little comfort food. Acidil uses the tagline “comfort foods without the discomfort.” It’s a plant-based remedy for when you are outside of your norm and just need a little help in not feeling the acid, gas, bloating and other symptoms that occur when you throw your digestive system a little out of whack.
