There are so many great baby carriers out there with so many great merits to each. It can be hard to decide what carrier will be best for your family or even which carriers! (Many parents have multiple for different uses.) Our son is two now and the only carrier that we have ever used for him is the Boba Air. It’s been a lifesaver in many situations including summer festivals, long walks, and even just family trips to the mall. In general I love that this carrier is lightweight, super portable, adjusts to fit myself and my husband, and is still comfortable for my toddler. Read on to see a more detailed Boba Air review.

Boba Air Review
What makes the Boba Air better than other carriers:
As I mentioned above, the Boba Air is very light weight and portable. This is the most obvious thing that sets the carrier apart, and likely why many parents chose to purchase the Boba Air. It folds into itself to create a small pouch that can easily be kept in your car or diaper bag for easy access. You don’t have to pre-plan, or lug a carrier around if you end up not using it.
We also wanted one carrier that my husband and I could both use. The Boba Air adjusts to fit pretty close to any body type. It has adjustment points at the waist, shoulders, and chest clip to make it comfortable for both of us. The waist belt adjusts 25” to 58”.
Our 2-year-old is very active and doesn’t like to be kept in a stroller some days. He pretty much always prefers to be in the carrier so that he can see what’s going on and interact with us. The Boba Air is meant for babies 15-45 pounds, so he still fits nice and snug.
The price on the Boba Air is also nice compared to other high end carriers. They sell on Amazon for right around $70! It was definitely money well spent in our case. (Well, money well spent on the part of a friend as we received the Boba Air as a gift off our baby registry.)
What are the downsides to the Boba Air:
My biggest complaint about this carrier is that it’s not safe/comfortable/rated for newborns. I wasn’t able to put my son in it until he was a few months old, and he didn’t really like it at first. If you are going to want to carry a smaller infant, I would suggest looking into a wrap or wrap instead . I am planning to use a Baby K’tan when our second baby is a newborn.
The comfort on the Boba Air is great for the convenience. I’ve heard that it isn’t as comfortable for long treks as some of the bigger, more expensive carriers. This may not be the best choice if you are an avid adventurer. For everything that we’ve used it for so far, the comfort has been more than adequate. It’s just like wearing a baby-weighted backpack.
Some babies prefer to be carrier in the front, facing away from their parent. The Boba Air can be worn with baby in the front or the back, but baby will always be facing you.
Where to buy:
The Boba Air is available for purchase pretty much anywhere that you get your baby gear. Right now, they are available on Amazon for $69.95. You can easily get it in two days with your Prime membership or add the Boba Air carrier to your Amazon Baby Registry.
Overall Boba Air Review:
If you are looking for a carrier that is just plain convenient, the Boba Air is a great option. It’s affordable, comfortable, and best of all very portable. You can easily leave the Boba Air in your diaper bag or car so that you have it at a moment’s notice. It’s easy to put on and then pack up to put away when you are done. It’s great for babies who are able to support their heads well and toddlers, but not a suitable choice to carry your newborn. The adjustability means that a variety of family members can share the carrier and it can grow with your little one. Overall, we love our Boba Air carrier and I would definitely recommend it to a friend.
