I will be the first to admit that I was a big sugar fiend as a kid and all the way through college. (In fact, I already admitted it to you all in a post last month.) As most people do, I have outgrown my sweet tooth…to a big extent. Even now, I am a big sucker for donuts and anything dark chocolate. This includes chocolate hazelnut spread and chocolate peanut butter! My husband has told me that I shouldn’t be allowed to buy them because I will go through a jar so quickly. Oops! Recently, I had the chance to try out a new (new to me anyway) hazelnut spread from Once Again Nut Butter. Keep reading to hear my thoughts and where to find some yummy recipes.

Healthy Protein “Cookie Dough”
When I was younger, I had the hugest sweet tooth. No joke, in high school I would eat Oreo cookies covered in chocolate frosting and wash it down with kool-aid. Like most people I know, my tastes have changed as I’ve grown older and healthier. Now I would much rather have a nice dark chocolate or glass of wine most nights. Sometimes I think we all want to break the rules and have a little treat though. Let’s talk about the ultimate guilty pleasure – cookie dough! I still love a nice glob of gooey cookie dough. We all do, right? Keep reading for a decadent protein cookie dough dupe that won’t send you crying to the gym.

How to Get Your Toddler to Eat Dairy (when he/she won’t drink milk)
We have had a real struggle with getting our 18-month-old Peanut to drink milk out of a cup. He will drink water all day out of a sippy cup, and he will drink milk out of a bottle, but he just refuses to drink milk out of his sippy cups. We have tried them all – regular sippy cups, bottle-shaped sippy cups, 360 cups, cups with straws, you name it. He will have none of it! As we tried to take his bottle away, he got less and less milk. Now he has been without his bottle for a week, and has not drank any milk in that time. We talked to his doctor about the importance of dairy in his diet, and she does not seem worried as long as he is eating well. If you’re in the same boat, here are a few tips for getting dairy into your toddler’s diet when he or she won’t eat milk.
Not All Olive Oils Are Created Equal (Flavor Your Life!)
Olive oil has been my go-to cooking oil since I started cooking. I think that’s because it’s what my mom always cooked with. For the most part, I just buy whatever olive oil is cheapest and available at the local grocery store. At times, I have bought or been gifted craft oils, which bring a specific flavor to the dishes that I cook. It really does make a big difference in the taste and quality of my cooking. Recently, I was introduced to the Flavor Your Life campaign, which teaches home chefs about how (and why!) to choose olive oils that will compliment your food flavors. It is a great educational tool if you cook with olive oil frequently!

How to Sleep When You Have Anxiety
As a new mom, I had a lot of trouble sleeping. I would have no energy during the day, and then lay down in bed at night and I could just not fall asleep. Some nights I would just be wide awake. Other nights I would be exhausted, but I could not get my mind to stop racing. All of the sudden, everything that I should have done during the day would pop into my head. Everything that I needed to get done tomorrow would just seem overwhelming. On top of all of that, the fact that I was not asleep was frustrating in itself.
