How to Keep Your Focus At Work
Between mom brain, missing your kiddo, and the added responsibilities at home, it is totally understandable that a working mom can be a little scatterbrained. It can be hard to keep the balance between your work life and your home life. Some days it is hard to stay focused and motivated at work – especially if you don’t want to be there at times. If you are anything like me, you have 105738 moments throughout your work day where you have to stop and go “ok, what was I doing?”
10 Things That Suck About Being a Working Mom (Plus 6 Things that Rock)
I love that our society is supportive of the mom bosses in our work force. It’s great that women have the opportunity to have a career and a family. Some women really love doing both and would be absolutely miserable if they felt forced into being stay at home moms. In the interest of honesty – I am not one of those women. Clean out your Closet with the Backwards Hanger Challenge
If you saw my post at the end of March (Backwards Hanger Challenge: Day 1), then you know that on March 23 I decided to try the backward hanger challenge with hopes of cleaning out my closet. The goal was to find out which clothes I don’t wear often and get rid of them. Well, it has been six weeks and my closet has definitely been cleaned out!
Happy Homemaker Monday
When you hear the word “homemaker” I bet that you picture a stay-at-home mom/housewife from the 1950s with a cute little apron, baking a pie. While that actually sounds kind of like a dream to me (I would look pretty cute holding Peanut in a circle skirt and kitten heels, right?), the modern homemaker comes in all shapes and sizes.
Backwards Hanger Challenge: Day 1
Do you have a closet full of clothes and still feel like you wear the same things all the time? I know I do!
About Me
Hi, thanks for stopping by Mommy: Home Manager! My name is Lexie and I am a mom, a career professional, and an organization freak. I know exactly how hard it can be to learn to balance a full-time career with full-time parenthood, and my goal with this blog is to help other parents to find balance and organization no matter what their lifestyle is like.
Weekly Cleaning List
When it comes to cleaning, my husband and I have very different strategies. He will let things pile up until it drives me crazy and then spend a few hours cleaning to pick up after himself and put things away all at once. I put things away as I use them and do a small amount of chores everyday so that I don’t ever have to spend hours at a time to get my house clean.
