As you saw in the post about my favorite money saving apps and website, Daily Goodie Box is a great site if you are looking to score some freebies and try out new products! Members periodically receive a box full of samples and full sized products in exchange for sharing their experiences. I recently received my first Goodie Box and my husband and I had a great time trying out the products inside. Keep reading for my review of the products that we received!
How it Works:
All that you have to do to be eligible to receive a box is register at DailyGoodieBox.com and fill out a profile. Goodie Boxes are sent out once a month from a list of the website’s members. Boxes are frequently given away to people who interact with their posts on Facebook, Instagam, and Twitter accounts. The more interactive you are, the better your chances of receiving that month’s goodie box. It’s simple and 100% free!

Here is a look at what came in the May 2017 Goodie Box:
ONA Treats – Cookies and Bars
I got the java flavor of this bar, and so it was caffeinated. I loved the healthy natural ingredients and the flavor was really great. It felt like there were little pieces of coffee ground in the bar, so if you love coffee, you will definitely love this.
I would say be careful if you’re not a caffeine person though. The bar only had 56 mg of caffeine, but I felt about the same kick that I would normally get out of a cup of coffee… only much faster!
Good news, all – these are Subscribe & Save eligible!! As low as $13.81 for 12 bars
Goviter – Viter Energy Mints
I didn’t even get the chance to try these. It just came in a little packet with two and Kyle quickly asked if he could have them. I agreed, and he was definitely grateful.
He told me “You can definitely tell that they are caffeinated, but it doesn’t kick you in the ass.” He’s very eloquent. 🙂 He also really like the flavor of these over other caffeinated mints that he’s tried.
Tiger Balm – Pain Relieving Patch
Between carrying my son around in his carrier on Friday, wearing crazy heels on Saturday, and just being on the go all weekend, I could definitely use some muscle relief! I used the Tiger Balm Pain Relieving Patch on my lower back for a couple of hours before bed. It was a nice relief on my sore muscles which helped me to relax them and release tension.
For my fellow Amazon shoppers, they are available at $28.98 for 30 patches.
Prince of Peace – 100% Natural Ginger Candy
I have heard that ginger candies are really great for nausea, especially in pregnant women. I haven’t tried them for that, so I can’t let you know on that one. I can tell you that I wasn’t a fan of these. I’m not a fan of ginger though, so that’s to be expected.
My husband loved these and plans to finish the bag himself.
I read on a Daily Goodie Box post that you can dissolve the candies in hot water to make tea. I may try that to see if I like it better.
I found these for $15.30 for 6 packs from Amazon.
Volo Vitamins – Energy Stickpacks
These are another product that I didn’t love, but my husband did. I tried the pomegranate flavor and it tasted like the Flintstones kids vitamins. If you liked those, then this is probably a great product for you. Kyle had the citrus one and apparently that one tastes less vitamins. Either way, I used this as a replacement for one of my morning cups of coffee and it was a nice change. I wasn’t lacking energy and the cold drink was more refreshing for a hot, muggy day.
You can find them for $4.47 for 10 packets from Amazon.
Natralia – Eczema Body Wash & Shampoo
My little one has sensitive skin and excema, so we try to be careful about the products that we use on him. I liked that this one was scent-free, dye-free, hypoallergenic, and moisturizing. The consistency of it was a little gely and thick and it didn’t smell great, but it did the job. He was clean and free of skin irritation for the few days in between baths. I give it a thumbs up!
Georgia Grinders – Creamy Peanut Butter
I always judge people who eat peanut butter in little packets because it seems to wasteful. In testing this product, I loved having the little packet at work! It was so convenient to squeeze pb onto a fruit or veggie at my desk. Unfortunately, this is entirely irrelevant because Georgia Grinders doesn’t sell the little packets anyway. 🙂
The peanut butter itself was really great. It was less sweet and more salty which I think gives peanut butter a more natural flavor. I really loved it on a banana, apple, carrots, and some crackers. Peanut butter in general is a great, healthy snack, and I really enjoyed this brand.
Since I’m an Amazon addict, you can get this for $5.99 per jar at Amazon.
Andalou Naturals – Hyaluronic DMAE Lift & Firm Cream Pods
I used this in the morning instead of my normal moisturizer. I have problem skin, adult acne, and I’m at an age where I should probably start thinking about wrinkle prevention. This product seemed like a good compromise between all of my “skin issues.” I used a very small amount and it kept my skin feeling hydrated, but not greasy all day.
$18.25 for a 1.7 oz container on Amazon
Swago – Cologne Wipes For Men
My husband used this after a trip to the gym. The smell was really great, and lasted a long time. The little wipes make it convenient to throw in a gym bag or leave extras sitting in your car for when you forget the cologne bottle.
The downside is the cost and the waste that you create in exchange for convenience.
$24.99 for 20 wipes on Amazon They get cheaper if you buy in bulk.
Kicking Horse Coffee – Kick Ass Ground Coffee
I am a coffee lover, so I was really excited to get a whole bag of coffee grounds in my box! 🙂 This Kick Ass blend is really good too! It is a pretty dark flavor without being too bitter. I have been brewing it in my reusable K cups. The coarseness is just right, and it makes a great cup of coffee.
This is another Subscribe & Save find. There’s a 20% off coupon right now making a 2.2 lb bag $19.49!
If you’re not a coffee maniac like me, here’s the 10 oz bag for $9.99 🙂
Overall
I really loved trying out the products in this month’s Daily Goodie Box. If you’re not signed up as a member, you should head over to DailyGoodieBox.com to check it out!
Oh what a nice range of products you got to try! 🙂 I like the idea of the little packet of peanut butter too, it’s a shame they don’t actually sell it that way! Would come in handy for work.
Hope you are having a great week! I just published my first eBook so I’m having a pretty good week! 🙂
Away From The Blue Blog
Thanks for stopping by!
I know that there are peanut butter packets out there…this brand just doesn’t sell them.
Glad you’re having a good week, and congrats on the ebook!
