When September rolls around, my husband instantly wants pumpkin and apple EVERYTHING. We will have so many apples in our house that it can almost be a challenge to know what to do with them. Most of them will turn into apple chips or apple pie, but it’s fun to be creative with them as well. I’ve compiled a list of great apple recipes for you to try this fall.
Here are some great fall apple recipes:
Apple Rhubarb Crisp
Soothing Apple Cider with Magnesium
Healthy Homemade Apple Chips
Apple Tartletts
Apple Crisp
Carmel Apple Upside Down Cake
Grandma’s Apple Cookies
Sweet Spicy Apple Honey Crisps
Gluten Free Apple Cinnamon Pancakes
Even with a 3 week old, we couldn’t pass up a trip to the apple orchard! We called to ask if the orchard was stroller friendly and the nice lady on the phone said “oh sure!” She did not warn us that we would be off-roading up and down uneven, barely mowed hills. My husband doesn’t like to do things half way, so he had to carry the big, full box of apples around while I pushed the stroller. It was still a nice time, but it was exhausting. This was a classic “we’re first time parents and don’t know how to prepare and handle this situation at all” day. To anyone else looking to check out the apple orchard with a newborn, I suggest a baby carrier or just putting the car seat in a wagon with your apple box. 🙂
