New Year’s Eve we had the pleasure of seeing the Harlem Globetrotters play at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee as part of their on-going tour. I have heard great things about the team, but had never seen them myself until now. We had a great time, and I will happily go see them in the future! Like I said, I had not seen the Harlem Globetrotters before this weekend. I had seen videos online and heard about the cool tricks and stunts that come with seeing the Globetrotters live. I was pleasantly surprised by how much entertainment went along with the basketball and cool tricks! The players on the team were all really fun to watch and the banter and bits between playing time were really funny. From the start of the entertainment – with the team’s DJ/MC and Globie the Mascot – to the very end, there was plenty of fun to be had!

Peanut is 15-months-old now, so it take a lot to hold his attention span. On top of that, he had a cold when we went (check out the super-great mid-cough selfie that I got of the two of us at the bottom of this post…), so keeping him happy was more of a challenge than usual. Even so, he spent most of the time there staring transfixed at the players, the crowd, and everything else going on around us. He loved the cheering and the music most of all. Looking around, families of all sizes and ages seemed to be having a great time.

I don’t really have too much to say that can explain the fun and energy that exist around a Harlem Globetrotters Game, so I’ll leave it at that and share a few pictures of our day. I hope that you will get out and see the fun for yourselves.
