How to Sleep When You Have Anxiety

Whether you are regularly an anxiety sufferer or are suffering from postpartum anxiety, this post will give you ideas on how to relax for a better night's sleep.

As a new mom, I had a lot of trouble sleeping. I would have no energy during the day, and then lay down in bed at night and I could just not fall asleep. Some nights I would just be wide awake. Other nights I would be exhausted, but I could not get my mind to stop racing. All of the sudden, everything that I should have done during the day would pop into my head. Everything that I needed to get done tomorrow would just seem overwhelming. On top of all of that, the fact that I was not asleep was frustrating in itself. read more

This post will cover the best and worst things about being a working mom. 10 things that suck, and 6 things that rock.

I love that our society is supportive of the mom bosses in our work force. It’s great that women have the opportunity to have a career and a family. Healthy Homemade Apple Chips

Healthy homemade apple chip snack recipe from Mommy: Home Manager

Apple chips are a favorite healthy snack in our family. Every fall we go to an orchard and pick a bushel of apples and we make pie and apple chips out of them. We even went this past year when we had a one month old baby! It was a nice outing…but I’m not sure that we would do that again. That’s a story that I don’t need to get into now. 🙂 Anyway, apple chips are great. They are a healthy treat to replace either sweets or your crunchy snacks. They are also so simple to make. I know that some people add sugar to theirs, but I really don’t think that the apples need it. read more
